Roofing Terms:
Drip Edge: A metal flashing or another overhanging component with an outward projecting lower edge, intended to control the direction of dripping water and help protect underlying building components.
Ice and Water Membrane: Works below the surface to help guard vulnerable areas where water and ice dams can do the most damage to a roof: eaves, valleys, dormers, and skylights.
Underlayment: - Durable synthetic construction provides an immediate defense layer so strong it can protect your roof for up to 6 months** of exposure plus act as a secondary water-shedding barrier for long-term moisture protection.
Vents: These products are designed to work together to help prevent heat and moisture build-up that can lead to premature aging & cracking of wood & other roofing materials. Unwanted heat also can transfer back down into living areas - which reduces energy efficiency.
Plumbing stack flashing: Pre-formed flange placed over a vent pipe to seal the roof around the vent pipe opening.
Flashing: Metal strips, used to prevent water seepage, and installed around the chimney, vents, windows, doors, and skylight, along seams in the roof and beneath shingles. The purpose of flashing is to prevent the penetration of water

Daily Routine & Procedures:

Arrival time is between 7- 8 am.

Loud noises occur between 7- 9 pm

Please have vehicles moved before 7:30 am

Please have all yard ornaments set aside : 10-15 ft away from house: Including: ( tables ,chairs, birdbaths, solar lights) . If you are unable to do this we will take care of this on start date

Please have all animal droppings cleaned up before start date

Please do not drive on driveway unless OK'd by a Country Top employee. (This is to make sure no nails are present on driveway)

Hospitality is always welcomed (access to washrooms when possible)

Please make sure outside electrical outlets are on

Please make us aware of any special requests before start date: ( Ask for special precautions on gardens, certain plants/trees, patios)

If you are in the country please make us aware of wells, drainage tiles, ect..

If you will be coming and going from property please dedicate to one door
-
to enter house from (this is a safety precautions for us and homeowners)

If completion date is more then one day please be aware that material/tools/equipment may be left on site

A final / complete clean up is done on last day of roof completion aswell as Friday evenings with jobs continuing the following Monday.

Please make us aware if Smoking is not allowed on property
****Please advise us on prefered colour of accessories (valley, vents, drip edge) Options include Black or Brown. If undecided before start date we will assume to a default of Black as your choice.****
